#HighlySensitivePeople: Do You Need A Tip To Handle Annoying People?

Are their times when people get under your skin? Do they push all of your emotional and physical buttons? I’m sure that we can all relate to this.

Well, I have a remedy for this unpleasant aspect in our lives. Are you ready? Here it is…KILL THEM WITH KINDNESS! Don’t feed into an annoying person’s desire to get you angry and throw you off kilter.

The beauty of this strategy, though not always easy to execute, is that you’ll be annoying to the other person, while also doing the right thing. What a great self-confidence and self-esteem booster…don’t you think? As an added bonus, other people will be more likely to respect your response and you in general. There’s also a good chance that fewer people will purposely annoy you, since they won’t get the “reward” of making you angry.

It’s important to note that there are some people who don’t realize they are annoying. You should also be kind to them, and in this case, you may want to have an honest conversation with them about your feelings.

Overall, it’s very important for highly sensitive people to not get involved in meaningless combat. Conflicts tend to affect us deeply, even ones that are about insignificant things. It’s far better to choose your battles very carefully, so that you can conserve your energy for more important things.

Do you have any other ways to deal with annoying people? I’m interested in any other thoughts or comments that you have.

How do you deal with someone who likes to pick a fight or argument over either insignificant or imaginary issues?

    Hi Patty,

If someone always wants to pick fights or have arguments, it’ll do no good to feed into that. Cut the conversation short and ignore it. Tell the person they are entitled to their opinion and leave it at that. No explanation is necessary! Try to keep your distance from people who drain the hell out of you!
