Wow…I can’t believe it’s been a full year since I decided to re-launch the Highly Sensitive Person Publishing Company! As some of you may recall, I took a four-year hiatus after my mother passed away in 2014. Shortly after settling her estate, I began the daunting process of moving half-way across the country to be closer to my daughter, which is why I ended up taking such an extended leave. Coping with the loss of my mother, managing her affairs, selling my business of 35 years, leaving my home of 33 years, and moving 950 miles away was a lot to deal with in a short period of time!
I chronicled all of these major life changes in my Cliff’s Big Move series, which consists of 24 blog posts. The journey was long and difficult, but it was more rewarding than I could have ever imagined! My wife and I bought a house that we love in a great neighborhood. We’re just a short drive from our daughter and are now able to share much more in her life, which means everything to us! I wrote about my experience to encourage other highly sensitive people to take on major life changes. It can be hard for us to leave our comfort zones, but being highly sensitive is NEVER a good excuse for not going after what we want!
After settling into my new life, it took a while for me to get back in the swing of things at The Highly Sensitive Person Publishing Company. But I’m thrilled to finally return to my passion, which is writing. My mission is to write– from a personal point of view– in such a way that I can inspire and educate other highly sensitive people on many different topics. Through my experience as a husband, father, business owner, and highly sensitive person, I offer a unique perspective of life. I was self-employed for 35 years, I’ve been married over 40 years, and have raised a very successful daughter. I’ve been dedicated to personal growth and self-development for as long as I can remember. I don’t claim to know about everything, but I do my best to impart information that I think can help others grow and learn. I’ve had some wonderful mentors in my life, and this is my way of giving back. It’s amazing what you can learn from another person’s experience!
When I started to blog again, my intended audience was strictly highly sensitive people. However, because I have many introverted, empathic, and social anxiety characteristics, and noticed the same in others on social media forums, I came to realize that these qualities may occur together. Thus, I decided to expand my audience. The intended audience for my content now includes highly sensitive people, both those who are newly aware of their high sensitivity and those who have known for years, as well as introverts, empaths, and those with social anxiety. It’s been exciting to be able to connect with so many different types of people!
It’s been a transformational year for me, and I want to thank all of you for your support! I’ve heard from many of you, and I’m happy to say that I’ve received lots of positive feedback over the last 12 months. Your support encourages me to keep going! To show my gratitude, I’ve created a new, FREE e-book, 17 Powerful Tips To Help You Thrive As A Highly Sensitive Person. Consider it my gift to you! In this e-book, I share common sense lessons that I’ve learned in the hopes that I can help make your journey easier. Along with the advice, I emphasize the points I make with some of my favorite inspirational quotes.
To get my free e-book, please join my mailing list. When you subscribe, you’ll receive emails a few times a month and have access to exclusive content, discounts, and special offers. If you’re already on my mailing, you’ll receive a link to download the e-book in my 11/25 email campaign. If you’re not sure whether you’re on my mailing list, you can try opting in again. If it turns out that you’re already subscribed, you’ll get a message indicating so.
In the upcoming year, I plan to release an exciting new series of Special Reports for purchase on my website. The Special Reports will focus on particular topics of interest to my target audience. They will come in the form of digital PDF files. Some likely topics include Building Confidence, Setting Boundaries, Managing Conflict, Cultivating Meaningful Relationships, and Making Decisions. (If you have other things that you’d like to learn about, I’m always open for suggestions!) My goal for each Special Report is to provide in-depth, straightforward, practical information in an easy-to-digest format.
In honor of my one year anniversary, I want all of us to set an intention to celebrate the uniqueness and strength of being highly sensitive. We should all be proud of who we are! The more we know, understand, and appreciate ourselves, the better and more fulfilling our lives will be.
If you find my content useful, I would appreciate it if you would share it with others! Feel free to use the share buttons below, or to add your comments to this post. I do respond to comments!
