Highly Sensitive People: Are you focused and committed?

Are you focused and committed? Are you the type of person that makes the most of every moment? If so, you probably have a positive attitude and are happy. If not, then you might need to adjust your focus and attention. I’ve found that I needed to focus my energies on something productive that I was passionate about to cut out the distractions that were draining me and making me less productive.

Too many people spend time worrying about what will happen next month, or next year, or worse, they keep living in the past. Can you relate to this? I definitely can! When this happens it means that I’m not making the most of what I’m doing in the present moment.

I started to make progress in my writing when I focused and committed to writing the most interesting, motivational, and usable content that I could for highly sensitive people, introverts, and people who have social anxiety. My passion is to improve my readers lives by sharing the lessons that I learned through my personal experience.

If you start paying attention to what you are doing today then you will find that your attitude becomes more positive. Instead of worrying about the what if’s, focus on right now. This allows you to enjoy the moment and add fun to your life. You will also find that you’re more productive and that your life will feel more fulfilling.

It’s too easy to allow ourselves to become distracted. We highly sensitive people often complain about being pulled into too many directions and become overwhelmed. Who hasn’t thought at some time of the grass being greener on the other side, and gone chasing it?

It’s very easy to spend so much time thinking about what you are going to do tomorrow or the day after. Before you know it, the day has gone and you didn’t enjoy any part of it. Unfinished projects and guilt feelings arise to make you feel worse.

This doesn’t mean that you can’t dream, in fact you should, but in a different way. You might consider to follow your dreams by taking positive action on something that you have a burning desire to achieve.

As soon as you start taking positive action you are committing yourself to something. How many times have you experienced the satisfying feeling of jumping into a project at warp speed? You were excited and thrilled to be doing something that’s worthwhile.

By taking action and following through you are committing yourself to excellence. You have every intention of putting your entire heart and soul into the project or goal until it is accomplished.

If you haven’t experienced that feeling, allow yourself the satisfaction of doing so. Just decide and commit to taking some action to reach a specific goal. Your energy levels will immediately increase and this will help propel you forward into action.

No matter what obstacles you face, always commit to finding a way around them. This way you will excel at every task or challenge you take on. Before you know it, you’ll be viewed as a person who is focused, committed, and accomplished!

“Your vision will become clear only when you look into your own heart.”  Carl Jung
