Does a decision have only one solution?

Does a decision have only one solution?

Does a decision have only one solution? I think the answer is a definitive NO! As highly sensitive people, many of us are conscientious and take decision making seriously. We may view decisions as an all-or-nothing, life-or-death proposition? Do we really need to add extra drama to our lives?

There are often multiple solutions to the dilemmas we face, but it’s human nature to get tunnel vision and limit our options. The key is to expand our thinking, gather information, ask for guidance, and make changes or adjustments as needed.

One of the smartest things you can do if you hate making decisions is to relax and use your natural HSP abilities, such as intution and the ability to research and analyze. The more you use these skills and make decisions, good and bad, the more you’ll learn, and the better decisions you’ll make in the future.

If you’re undecided about which path to take, maybe you should take more than one path. For example, maybe you’d like to quit your job and go after your dream vocation. Your anxious about how you’re going to pay your bills. Why not continue to work and pursue your dream on a part-time basis?

Maybe an opportunity has come up, and you need to decide which one to take. Again, you’re natural intuition will guide you. Your emotions will be very strong. Your practical side will tell you to play it safe. Your dreamer side will tell you to go for it, regardless of the consequences. There are no right or wrong answers. The best answer is what’s right for you. Again, every action and non-action has its consequences. What can you live with?

Is life an all-or-nothing proposition? Do decisions have only one right answer? What do you think? I’m interested in any thoughts or comments that you have.
