Do you desire a new life?

Desire leads us into new directions. Our thoughts can keep us stuck or can lead us in directions that we never thought were possible. Where are you? Are you happy with your lot in life? If so, bask in the sunshine of your happiness. Enjoy it and don’t take it for granted. If not, why not take the time to think about what you want?

Take a look at yourself on the inside and out. Where do you live? What job do you have? Do you have positive relationships with your friends and family? What interests do you pursue? What adventures do you have?

What do you truly want from life? Do you want wealth and success, happiness and peace of mind? Do you want a family and a yard, a yacht, or sports car? Where are you going? Do you have a particular goal or are you just wandering through life?

What do you do if you don’t know what you want? Maybe your goals are small ones. Perhaps getting a promotion or finding a mate. Whether you want a bigger apartment or want to move to another state, any avenue of prosperity and achievement is open to you if you truly know what you want.

No goal is too small. No dream is too big. When you aren’t clear about your desires, you can tap into your subconscious mind to get your answers. If your subconscious mind   believes that your objective is good for you, it will give you the added energy boost to move towards your goal.

Make the time to get in touch with what you want. Clear the “cobwebs” in your mind through quiet and alone time. Have patience with this process and eventually your answers will come. Write them down and formulate a written plan for specific action. Here’s a little secret…your answers are linked to your interests. Examine them and incorporate as many of them into your life as possible.

Half the battle is to know what you want. The other half is to have the mindset to go after your desire. How are your thoughts? Are they positive or negative? Are you willing to be open to new ways of thinking and doing?  These are important questions to answer. The biggest obstacle to your new life is getting hung up on old and familiar patterns.

You can rise up above this by having a “burning desire” to do something. When your desire is greater than your fears, you will be a person of accomplishment.  Taking small steps over a period of time is a realistic way of doing this. Don’t get stressed out. Enjoy the process. Don’t worry about failures along the way. Learn from them. Make adjustments and realize that you’re getting closer to what you want.

A balanced life is essential for creating your new way of being. Getting the proper rest, exercise, having a balanced diet and making time for family, friends and interests will go a long way towards your best life.

It’s important to visualize your objective. If you can specifically imagine being the person you want to become, or finding that special someone, etc, you will obtain that reality. Don’t forget that visualizing alone will not get the job done. You need focus, commitment and action to accomplish your objectives. This isn’t an easy process and it isn’t for the faint of heart. Your rewards will definitely be worth it.

It will be necessary to take risks. You may need to change your job, relationships, or possibly move to another state. Learning more about yourself and what you want will help you make better decisions. This is why taking quiet time is so important. Gather as much information as possible on what it will take to make you happy. Sustained thought and information gathering will provide you with different options.

Clarity rids confusion. If you’re worried and anxious, spend the time to think about where these destructive thoughts are coming from. Consider the consequences of all possible actions and use your intuition. When you’ve made a decision, follow through and don’t agonize over what-ifs. It’s important to remember that life is a series of adjustments.

In order to help yourself develop fully, you might seek professional help, or the support of a friend, mentor, personal coach, etc. Ideally, this person should give you constructive ideas and act as a sympathetic ear for you to vent your concerns, thoughts and ideas. They should also hold you accountable for taking specific actions.

Think in possibilities. What is possible for you to achieve in the next three to six months? Why not go for it? What do you have to lose? A happy, productive and fulfilling life, that’s what! Why postpone joy in your life?

    Very well said! There are so many areas I would like to help people in, that it’s hard for me to narrow it down. I feel that I have taken three years to really help myself live a more happy productive life, eating good food, drinking good water, learning to do productive deep breathing and meditation, etc. Now I would like to take what I’ve learned and share it. I have a Facebook page and blog for one area that I focused on, as well as a partially written book. I’m struggling with the time and focus to finish the book and work on seeing how to get it published. I never thought of myself as a writer until this year. Crafts were always my creative outlet. I felt it was too much work and pressure to make a living from that though. Maybe writing could be both hobby and income?

      The world needs what you have to say! Writing can definitely be both a hobby and income. Focus is the key. Don’t spread your time too thin. Work on your priorities.

        Thanks!. Your right I need to focus. I have been spending a lot of time helping others around me and not taking time for what is important to me. Like usual.
        In regards to my Facebook page and blog, they are not HSP related per say. I didn’t even realize til recently that HSP was a founded inherent character trait. Anyways, the Facebook page and blog are about my journey to lose weight, get healthy and fit. The FB page is called “Size 18 to 8”. My blog is just a more in depth version of the FB page. It is written on Google blogger. Here is the link your more than welcome to share them with the HSP group if you feel they would benefit. I do feel that a healthy lifestyle is very beneficial to someone as sensitive as myself. Let me know what you think. Thanks again, Kristie
